Cleveland stranded fourteen runners on eleven hits in a one-run loss that went ten innings. Tanner Bibee struck out ten in 5.2 innings and left with the game tied, and the Guardians kept failing to extend leads their defense kept giving back. Brett Baty and Jorge Polanco went back-to-back in the 3rd, Baty's ball leaving the bat at 106.8 mph. The winning run in the 10th was unearned off Matt Festa — one hit, two strikeouts, and a loss that came from the field behind him. Cleveland committed three errors, New York committed two. Christian Scott went five innings for the Mets, struck out seven, and left with the score 3-3.
