Bobby Witt Jr. grounded out at 112.0 mph in the first inning, the hardest contact anyone made all night, and the ball rolled 62 feet. Cameron pitched five innings of two-hit ball and left with a lead the bullpen never gave back. Melton took the loss with 5.2 innings of three-run ball, two earned. The Tigers left eleven on base and scored twice, both in the seventh, both after Cameron was out of the game.
