Thirteen runners left on is a number that looks like a team searching for a hit it could not find, and the Rockies managed five all night. Daylen Lile drove in Washington's first run with a first-inning single and added a solo homer in the fifth, his 18th. Jake Irvin handed out six walks in 4.1 innings and still left with one run against him, which tells you what the Rockies did with the free passes they were given. Washington led 5-1 by the end of the fifth and never needed more than two runs in an inning to finish it.
