Will Dion's two innings cost him three earned and the loss — all of it arriving when Los Angeles took the lead for good in the 8th. Bobby Miller threw three innings of one-run relief to earn the win. James Wood's 109.3 mph single started Washington's 6th and Dylan Crews got drilled to force in a run, but the Nationals left eight on base and never answered. Edgardo Henriquez struck out two in the 9th.
