Jaden Hill faced five hitters and got nobody out — four hits, a walk, five earned on 12 pitches — and a two-run Rockies lead was gone before Romano could record an out. The Tigers sent eleven men to the plate and scored seven in the eighth. Goodman's three-run homer in the third had put Colorado ahead; the eighth was the inning that buried them. Beau Brieske got the win for 1.2 innings of two-hit relief.
