Hunter Goodman's 40th home run — 106.4 mph off the bat — was one of four Colorado homers, and the Rockies led from the first. Davis Martin got two outs, gave up three runs, and left after 25 pitches with the loss in the first inning. Colorado led 5-3 entering the ninth, scored four more, and Jordan Romano's three-run ninth only narrowed the margin for Chicago.
