Tristan Peters, a 2021 seventh-round pick out of Winkler, Manitoba, has put together a 3.5-WAR season for the White Sox — 156 games, .265 average, .774 OPS, 12 home runs, and only 90 strikeouts. He doesn't carry the contact-quality profile our engine flags for breakout; he sits on the ledger, tracked but not targeted. His last four MLB games have been quiet, .143 with no walks. But the body of work is a full-time center fielder who puts the ball in play, and that has value the boards respect even when they don't chase it.
