DeLuca's EV95 of 106.85 is above the league median — his contact is real — but his results are outrunning even that by more than 99% of qualified hitters, a luck gap of 0.0814 that puts him No. 3 on our fade board. The distinction matters: the engine isn't saying he can't hit. It's saying the outcomes are ahead of the input. A .266 average with eleven home runs and fifty RBIs in 112 games for Tampa Bay is a playable right fielder's season, and his 29.3 sprint speed and forty career steals suggest the legs help widen the gap — balls finding holes, stretched singles.
