Scout’s note

Parker Messick's 2.54 ERA over 149 innings ranks seventh in the sport, but our stuff model is stability-tested, not outcome-validated — so no arm gets a board flag from it, not even this one. The ERA-FIP luck gap did clear the bar, and we file arm regression calls by hand from it. A second-round pick from Plant City in 2022, Messick debuted in August 2025 with 190 strikeouts in 32 career games — a season that matters even if the engine won't grade it yet.
