Framber Valdez needed 91 pitches to get through six innings, and St. Louis never scored — three hits, two walks, five strikeouts, and nine runners left on base. Dillon Dingler's two-run homer off an 80 mph sweeper in the 4th gave Detroit its lead, and Riley Greene hit the hardest ball of the night, a 111 mph double that went 368 feet.
