The Giants committed three errors and scored zero runs. Clay Holmes threw seven innings on 90 pitches — three hits, no runs, two walks, four strikeouts — and the Mets' offense handled the rest. Landen Roupp struck out seven in 4.2 innings and left with seven runs, five earned, on 95 pitches. Two of those runs scored on Matt Chapman's fielding error in the second. Tyrone Taylor's three-run homer to center in the fifth, his first of the year, was the one swing that needed no help. San Francisco managed three hits.
