Jorge Soler's home run gave the Angels a 2-0 lead in the first — 109.2 mph off the bat, 366 feet to left, on an 0-0 slider — and by the fourth inning Atlanta had made two errors and taken the lead anyway. Eli White doubled in the second for his first extra-base hit of the season and hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth, driving in two. Reynaldo López left after 4.2 innings with no earned runs and seven strikeouts; both runs against him were unearned. Yusei Kikuchi struck out eight in five innings and gave up four earned, and the Braves won by five despite the two errors.
