Five earned runs in 4.1 innings is not what you want from Reid Detmers, and the 92 pitches it took him to get there tell you it was not quick, either. Matt Olson's two-run homer in the third, on a line drive to center, came one inning after the Angels had taken a 2-1 lead, and it put Atlanta ahead for good. Grant Holmes struck out six in 6.2 innings and allowed two earned runs, and the Angels' seven hits produced nothing after the second. Mauricio Dubón's two-run double in the fifth was the cushion that turned the last four innings into formality.
