The second inning was a fire that would not go out — five Colorado runs on four hits and three walks, and by the time AJ Blubaugh recorded his third out the game was already gone. Lorenzen threw 100 pitches in 5.2 innings and allowed seven hits but only one run, stranding Astros at a rate that made Houston's nine men left on base feel like a recurring failure. Hunter Goodman's second home run of the year in the fourth was the only ball that left the yard. Zach Agnos came in for the last 3.1 innings and gave up one hit, which is a save that was really a long nap.
