Eric Lauer walked five and gave up seven earned runs in 5.1 innings, and all seven Minnesota runs came in the third — a homer, a bases-loaded walk, a two-run single, and a three-run shot from Trevor Larnach, his first of the year. Joe Ryan needed 91 pitches to get through seven, allowing two hits. Larnach's ball left at 105.1 mph and traveled 398 feet. Daulton Varsho's two-run homer in the 1st had given Toronto its only lead, and it lasted one half-inning.
