Woodruff handed Milwaukee a lead after six innings on 70 pitches, and they lost it three times after he left. Angel Zerpa faced six batters in the seventh and gave up four hits and four runs in two-thirds of an inning, and that was where the lead changed for the fourth and fifth times. Brice Turang homered twice — the second left at 109.6 mph and traveled 433 feet — and Milwaukee was in front both times he crossed the plate. Cole Henry faced two batters and got neither: a walk and a single, 12 pitches, four strikes. PJ Poulin covered four outs on 16 pitches, and Gus Varland needed eight pitches, seven of them strikes, to finish a game Milwaukee led three separate times.
