Josh Jung's first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the seventh, swung the game before the ninth inning decided it. Justin Sterner entered with a lead and gave up four runs on four hits, the last a line-drive single by Joc Pederson that scored Josh Jung. Nick Kurtz had put the Athletics ahead in the eighth with a three-run double, his third of the year. Sterner threw twenty pitches and recorded three outs.
