Masyn Winn and José Fermín each hit their first homers of the year, and Alec Burleson added his third in the seventh to build a lead St. Louis would need. Shay Whitcomb's first of the season, a three-run shot in the ninth, cut the deficit to two before Riley O'Brien came in to finish it. Yordan Alvarez hit the hardest ball of the night, a double at 117.8 mph, and it didn't score.
