Rob Refsnyder and J.P. Crawford each hit their first home runs of the year an inning apart, and Crawford's two-run shot in the second put Seattle in front for good. Randy Arozarena extended it in the fifth with a two-run homer, one of three Seattle longballs on a night when MacKenzie Gore needed 90 pitches to get through five. Bryan Woo gave the bullpen a rest with seven innings of four-hit ball, and Andrés Muñoz struck out the side on 17 pitches to close it. Texas managed five hits and left five on, and two runs was never going to be enough.
