Casey Legumina came in for the eighth with a 3-3 game, and three hits and a walk later it was 6-3. Lawrence Butler's two-run single to right scored Jacob Wilson and Jeff McNeil on a sharp line drive. Max Muncy's sacrifice fly to right had tied it an at-bat earlier. The Mariners had gotten home runs from Cal Raleigh and Dominic Canzone early, and Josh Naylor doubled in a run in the first for his first double of the season. Emerson Hancock left after five with the score tied, and Seattle's bullpen gave it away in the eighth. The Mariners left seven on base.
