Miguel Rojas had not homered all year, and the ball he hit in the second — a 90.5 mph fastball he sent to left field — was his first of the season and the one that put Los Angeles ahead to stay. Justin Wrobleski gave up eight hits in seven innings but only one earned run, 72 strikes in 97 pitches and three strikeouts. Colorado made three errors and left nine on base. Jose Quintana took the loss having allowed six runs, four earned, in five innings. Dalton Rushing and TJ Rumfield each homered in the eighth, Rumfield's traveling 440 feet to right at 106.3 off the bat.
