Dollander threw seven innings without allowing a run, and Kodai Senga did not make it out of the third. Senga lasted 2.2 innings — three earned, three walks, fifty pitches — and Hunter Goodman's two-run homer in the third was the last of the scoring. Carl Edwards Jr. followed Senga with 3.1 innings of no-hit relief that kept the deficit at three. Bo Bichette grounded out at 109.2 mph — the hardest ball anyone hit all night — and it traveled fifty-three feet.
