Brandon Lockridge's two-run single in the first came on an 0-2 splitter at 81.3 mph, grounded to left field, and it was all Kyle Harrison needed. Harrison gave up seven hits in six innings but only one run, striking out five on 93 pitches, and Washington left eight on base. Foster Griffin took the loss despite allowing zero earned runs over six innings — Milwaukee's first three runs were all unearned. Joey Ortiz's eighth-inning grounder to second, a 94.7 mph sinker, scored David Hamilton and gave Abner Uribe a three-run cushion for the ninth. CJ Abrams's RBI single in the fourth, a line drive to right on an 81.5 mph slurve, was the only run Washington could produce from nine hits.
