Conforto, whose season had not included a home run until the ninth inning, put one over the center field wall to tie a game Cincinnati had led twice. Nico Hoerner's sacrifice fly to left brought Pete Crow-Armstrong home with the winning run, and Ryan Rolison — three strikeouts in one inning — got the win. The lead changed three times across nine innings, and Emilio Pagán took the loss: two-thirds of an inning, two runs, two hits. Seiya Suzuki's three-run homer in the fourth, 112.6 mph off the bat, 455 feet to center, was the loudest swing of the night and still was not the last one.
