David Fry's two-run homer in the second gave Cleveland a lead that lasted exactly two innings — Bobby Witt Jr. led off the fourth with his third homer at 107.1 mph, and by the time the frame ended the Royals had four runs and the lead for good. Wacha went seven innings on 79 pitches, allowed four hits, struck out three, and walked one. Nick Loftin's two-run single came on a 95 mph sinker at 2-1, scoring Salvador Perez and Carter Jensen after a challenge overturned the tag call at the plate. The Guardians managed five hits and left three on base.
