Herrera's ninth double of the year cleared the bases on a 94.8 mph sinker at 2-0 — Church, Pagés, and Wetherholt all scored, and a 1-0 game became 4-0. Milwaukee left twelve men on base: eleven hits, three runs, and every rally that reached second died there. Kyle Leahy gave St. Louis five and a third innings of one-run ball on 94 pitches, struck out five, and turned it over. Brice Turang hit a two-run homer in the ninth that made the final look closer than the night was.
