The sixth inning produced eight runs — four for each side — and the Mets' bullpen held after that. Freddy Peralta left after five innings with a 3-0 lead, and Tobias Myers gave it back in two-thirds of an inning: five hits, four earned. Brooks Raley, Luke Weaver, and Devin Williams combined for three innings of one-hit relief to close it. Michael Lorenzen took the loss, charged with seven earned on 11 hits in five innings. Juan Soto's first-inning home run — an 82.8 mph curveball, his fourth — started the scoring. Colorado left 11 on base and made the game's only error.
