The only run came in the first, when Brandon Lowe drove an 87 mph changeup to center for his ninth home run of the season. Michael Soroka matched zeroes after that for six and a third, scattering seven hits but surrendering just the one earned, with six strikeouts. Arizona finished with two hits and three left on base. Gregory Soto walked one in the ninth and ended it with a strikeout on his 15th pitch.
