Chase Dollander gave up five hits and a walk in the first inning — three runs on 28 pitches — and was done. Ryan O'Hearn's seventh home run, on a 97.7 mph fastball, put Pittsburgh ahead to stay, and Endy Rodríguez lined a 99.5 mph fastball for a two-run single in the third. Rodríguez later collected the first double of his season. Carmen Mlodzinski walked three and struck out two over five innings, and it was enough — the lead never dropped below four. Brenton Doyle hit a ball 368 feet at 107.1 mph and it was a lineout.
