William Contreras singled in Jackson Chourio in the first, and that 1-0 lead stood through six. Ryan struck out seven, gave up four hits, and left after 90 pitches. Royce Lewis tied it in the seventh with a line-drive single to left off Aaron Ashby. Andrew Morris came in for the eighth and gave up three hits in two-thirds of an inning — the last, Bauers's double to right, scored Brice Turang. Morris took the loss. Ashby got the win. Trevor Megill needed 16 pitches for the save. Ryan's line — six innings, one run, seven strikeouts — was the strongest start on either side, and the Twins scored once while he was in the game.
