Trey Yesavage threw 88 pitches in six innings and left with a 2-0 lead. Andrés Giménez's two-run double in the second provided the offense. Riley Greene's double in the sixth cut it to 2-1. Joe Mantiply and Braydon Fisher each threw a clean frame. Jeff Hoffman came in for the ninth and faced four batters — single, walk, strikeout, and Torkelson's double on a 96.4 mph fastball at 2-2 that scored Matt Vierling. Hoffman took the loss. Kenley Jansen threw 16 pitches for the win. Yesavage struck out six and walked three.
