The Cubs did not score off Jacob Misiorowski in six innings — three hits, one walk, eight strikeouts on 74 pitches. Garrett Mitchell's first-inning single and Jake Bauers's third-inning single gave Milwaukee a lead that grew comfortable because Ben Brown was already at 82 pitches when he left after five. Chicago pushed two across in the eighth off Aaron Ashby, but Brice Turang answered with a two-run homer to center on a 94.3 mph fastball. Abner Uribe needed 14 pitches for the save, seven for strikes.
