Ketel Marte turned a one-run deficit into a lead with one swing in the third — a 90.5 mph fastball sent to center — and Perdomo's two-run double in the fifth stretched it to a number Tyler Mahle could not answer. Mahle gave up six earned on eight hits in five innings. The Giants' offense was Schmitt's homer, Eldridge's first double of the year at 113.4 mph, and Gilbert's RBI single, and then Paul Sewald needed thirteen pitches to finish it.
