Three lead changes in five innings, and then Arizona scored in the fifth and sixth and did not need to come back again. Ketel Marte's RBI double in the fifth put the Diamondbacks ahead for good, and his two-run single in the sixth scored Gabriel Moreno and Jose Fernandez. He drove in three. Merrill Kelly threw 96 pitches over seven innings, four hits, two runs. Landen Roupp took the loss — five innings, four runs, two earned. Rafael Devers's two-run double in the fourth gave San Francisco its only lead, and it did not survive the next half-inning.
