Carson Benge hit home runs in consecutive innings — a two-run shot in the third and a solo in the sixth — and the second one, at 109.8 mph off the bat, was the last run Seattle needed. Patrick Wisdom's first home run of the season gave Seattle its lead in the second, a two-run ball to left center. Jhonny Pereda followed with a three-run homer in the fifth. Jonah Tong lasted 3.1 innings and gave up five runs, four earned, on eighty-three pitches. Logan Gilbert struck out eight in 5.1 innings and left with the lead. Cooper Criswell threw two innings without allowing a hit.
