Jake Bauers's three-run home run in the first — on a 95 mph sinker at 2-2 — was all Kyle Harrison needed, and Harrison struck out twelve in 5.2 innings to prove it. The blowout came late: Tristan Beck faced seven hitters in the eighth and four of them scored. San Francisco committed two errors and left nine on base. Willy Adames went deep in the sixth, and Brice Turang drove in runs in the seventh and the eighth. Trevor Megill needed ten pitches, all strikes, to finish the ninth.
