Ryan Ward's grand slam in the sixth — 107.6 mph off the bat, 385 feet — staked the Dodgers to a lead that Kyle Hurt threw away. Hurt needed twenty pitches to get one out: three hits, two walks, four earned, and the game was tied. Tyler Callihan hit his first home run of the season in the fourth and his second in the eighth, a three-run shot that put Pittsburgh in front, and Spencer Horwitz followed with a two-run homer in the same inning. Shohei Ohtani threw 102 pitches in six and two-thirds and hit his 12th home run in the ninth, and neither was enough.
