Zac Gallen gave Arizona six innings and left with the score 3-3. Gabriel Moreno broke it with his sixth home run of the year, a solo shot to right field in the eighth, and Ketel Marte added a line-drive single in the ninth that scored Groover from second. Noelvi Marte's home run for Cincinnati in the sixth — his third, at 110.0 mph off the bat, traveling 448 feet to left center — had briefly put the Reds in front. Tommy Troy hit his second of the season in the third. Zach Maxwell took the loss: one inning, one hit, one earned, one walk, two strikeouts. Arizona's bullpen threw three innings and did not allow a run.
