Four lead changes, and the last one was a walk. Juan Mejía came in for the ninth with a one-run lead and threw twenty pitches — two runs scored, the first on Pedro Ramírez's line-drive single to left, the second on Matt Shaw's bases-loaded walk. Cole Carrigg had given Colorado the lead in the eighth with a three-run homer, his third of the year, and Pete Crow-Armstrong's sac fly in the same inning cut it to one. The Cubs left fifteen men on base and won.
