The Orioles did not score, and Baz did not give up a run after the first, and that is the whole game. Young's double and Emerson's single both came in the opening frame, and from the second inning on it was two starters trading zeros — Woo with three hits allowed on 89 pitches, Baz with five on 99, nine strikeouts apiece. Both lines read seven innings and nine strikeouts, which makes Baz's loss the kind of number that doesn't match the work behind it. Baltimore had three hits and left six on base, and Baz threw nine strikeouts in a game his lineup never scored in.
