Denzer Guzman's first home run of the season came in the fourth, a two-run shot to left, and the wait for a first one is its own kind of season inside a season. What followed was a game that refused to settle. Jeffrey Springs walked four and gave up six in under four innings; José Soriano walked four in five. The lead changed three times before the tenth, when Kirby Yates threw ten pitches and only four found the zone. Elvis Alvarado earned it the hard way — two full innings, one hit, two strikeouts — which is more than anyone else who took the mound in this game could say for themselves.

The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
