Texas had the lead in the seventh, lost it in the eighth, and then Joe Ross came in for the tenth and gave up Machado's three-run homer to left center — 108.1 mph off the bat, 408 feet. Walker Buehler's seven-strikeout, one-run start held up. Adrian Morejon struck out five over two clean innings to get the win. The Rangers scored one in the tenth and it wasn't close to enough.
