Sal Stewart homered in the first and singled in a run in the third, and Brandon Lowe's three-run homer in the same inning put Pittsburgh ahead — the third of five lead changes. Gregory Soto took the loss: two hits, three earned runs, and two walks in one inning. Caleb Ferguson gave up a run to get the win, and Chase Petty walked one in the ninth but finished it. Seven men left on base for Pittsburgh, two errors, and the last two innings belonged to a Reds bullpen that held.
