Trey Gibson walked six and gave up eight earned runs in 2.2 innings on 78 pitches. Colson Montgomery's two-run homer in the third — his 21st, at 109.1 mph and 440 feet — and Junior Perez's three-run shot in the same inning turned a 1-1 game into an 8-1 rout. Erick Fedde gave Chicago five innings, and Tyler Schweitzer threw four scoreless on 46 pitches for the save. The Orioles had nine hits and left eight on, and their first run had briefly tied the game before the White Sox scored eight without an answer.
