Rocchio drove one out to right field with Daniel Schneemann on base in the ninth, turning a one-run deficit into a Cleveland win and handing Grant Taylor the loss. Kyle Teel's first double of the season had capped a three-run fifth that put Chicago ahead, and the White Sox held that lead until David Fry homered in the seventh to bring Cleveland within one. The Guardians committed two errors and left ten on base. Slade Cecconi threw a hundred pitches in five innings and allowed five earned runs, and Cleveland still trailed by one when the ninth began.
