Rafael Devers homered twice — 463 feet at 110.3 mph in the fourth, 420 feet in the fifth — and the Giants still lost. They took a lead in the fifth and handed it back when Dylan Smith gave up three runs in one inning of relief. Drew Gilbert's two-run homer in the second and RBI single in the sixth did the early work for Colorado, and Troy Johnston's sacrifice fly in the third added another. San Francisco left nine on base. Jordan Romano allowed one hit and struck out two in the ninth for the save.
