Austin Warren didn't record an out. Five hits, five earned runs, 26 pitches — and the Mets' four-run fourth became a footnote. Seth Lugo gave up nine hits and six earned in 4.1 innings for Kansas City, which barely mattered because the Royals scored 16. Juan Soto's 20th home run left at 111.5 mph and traveled 415 feet, a three-run shot in the fourth. The seventh inning settled it: Kansas City 7, New York 2. Matt Seelinger took the loss — two innings, seven earned, four walks. The Royals committed three errors and still won by four. Bobby Witt Jr. grounded into a forceout at 111.7 mph and drove in a run. Jac Caglianone doubled at 115.0 mph — the hardest ball of the night.
