Alvarez hit his 31st of the year to center in the first — 112.8 mph off the bat, 425 feet, two runs — and Wade followed two innings later with a grand slam on an 82.6 mph slider. That was six runs before the fourth, and Peter Lambert made it stand with six innings of three-hit, one-run ball. Kumar Rocker took the loss: 5.2 innings, eight hits, seven runs. Houston did not commit an error and left six on base. Ezequiel Duran homered twice for Texas, once in the fourth and once in the ninth, but the gap was too wide by the time either landed.
