McCarthy's inside-the-park home run in the first — a fly ball to right on a 93.3 mph fastball — was the only run Colorado scored all night. McDonald matched it with seven innings of three-hit ball on 73 pitches, and Senzatela took the loss in the eighth when Adames's line single to left scored McCray. Gilbert's RBI single in the fourth had already erased McCarthy's run. Rafael Devers hit the two hardest balls of the game — 111.4 mph and 109.3 mph — and both were outs.
