Hunter Brown walked six in 4.2 innings — six free passes — and could not get through the fifth. Brandon Young did not have that problem: seven innings, five hits, one earned, seven strikeouts, 95 pitches. Leody Taveras broke the game open with a two-run single in the fifth, and Coby Mayo's 13th home run in the sixth gave Baltimore its cushion. Jose Altuve went deep in the eighth to cut the lead to three.
